Safety switch CTS-BP
Benefits for you
- Communicating safety switch with guard locking
- Safety category 4 and PL e according to EN ISO 13849-1
- Industry 4.0 ready
- FlexFunction device: Guard lock monitoring and coding level configured by actuator.
Function
Thanks to the transponder technology, even a single CTS achieves category 4 / PL e according to EN ISO 13849-1, without additional fault exclusion, and meets all the requirements of EN ISO 14119. It is ideally suited to applications in which a compact switch dimensions and a locking force of up to 3,900 N are required.Industry 4.0 ready
The switch can communicate in combination with an EUCHNER IO-Link Gateway, and sends process and device data to higher-level control systems. Comprehensive diagnostic messages enable rapid and targeted troubleshooting.
Versatile in Use
The CTS reliably secures safety doors and flaps on machines and systems. It is suitable for both process and personal protection. With three different mounting orientations and its compact design, the CTS offers flexible application options. Thanks to optional accessories, such as the retrofittable escape release, the CTS adapts to any application. The new LED concept with RGB LEDs enables diagnostics visible from three sides, providing detailed status information and error messages.
FlexFunction
The CTS safety switch is a FlexFunction device and thus combines various functions in a single unit. The selection of functions is determined by the choice of actuator. Consequently, the switch can be configured with or without guard locking monitoring and with high- or low-coded evaluation.Mounting and Operation
The CTS consists of two components: a safety switch and a separate actuator. During mounting, the safety switch is mounted on the fixed part of the guard, and the actuator is mounted on the moving part. The actuator is mounted on a floating bearing and is therefore tolerant of vibrations or offset. It is suitable for both swing and sliding doors and can also be used with small door radii.
